📝 ONE TAKE PASS 💯

📝 ONE TAKE PASS 💯 — Our new student Jason, he didn’t have any experience in IELTS or exam before. Unluckily, he always skipped his classes due to his sickness😷 BUT he still achieved his target score by taking our IELTS Intensive Course (➡https://goo.gl/tv9TWB) in a very short time. Even Jason’s mum thought the first IELTS test was just a practice to him and now such a miracle to them✨🤩

Task 1 (IELTS 10 Test 2)

The following table collates information in the UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium and Sweden on the sales condition in Fairtrade-labelled banana and coffee in the year of 1999 as well as in 2004. In general, the sales of coffee in five European countries has risen from 1999 to 2004. The above IELTS Writing Task 1 Introduction paragraph, was recently written by a secondary student from Hong Kong currently studying in the UK, whose target is also a 7.0 in order to get into one of the top universities, yet like the overwhelming majority of Hong Kong students, has a very typical English level of approx. 5.5 fluctuating to 6.0. Slightly better than Hong Kong’s average in fact.
Can you spot the mistakes as well as well done techniques performed by the student? 🧐

➡➡Comments:

-Inaccurate preposition usage, particularly the use of HK-Chinglish’ number 1 favourite and almost always incorrect preposition of, “on”. No, it is a not a master key.
-The noun form was incorrectly used. It should have been plural when referring to the general sense.
-Unnatural lexis choice; amended.
-A summary linker was used, which is good. The definite article was dropped; not good.
-A main trend was given, very good. Most candidates are lazy and don’t do this.
-The perfect tense is used, which is very rare. Approximately only 1% of HK students can manage effective use of this tense.
-Descriptives are not adequately used.
-Another link; not bad.
-Lexical resource is “adequately” displayed, a polite word that means “not enough”.
-A single complex sentence is made. This is better than nothing, but not quite strong.
